Tae Kwon Do Fitness
Tae Kwon Do and fitness of the mind,body,and spirit are some of the benefits of training in this martial arts. One can practice either as and individual or a group. Practicing in a group setting will take you farther up the path to good health but when no one is available then practicing by on self is also as rewarding. A person can train as early as four years and maybe younger with parent involvement and as old as eighty and beyond depending on the individual. Exercising and training are both physical and mental at the same time and much of the time it is more mental than physical making your body perform the many poomse (forms). Poomse is the art side of the martial art. Developing your stances, kicks,blocks and punches in short sequence of moves that flow from one move to another and maintaining a good balance and focused concentration. Through discipline of training and just getting to class at regular time during the week and working on all the basic moves that is taught, helps developed mental discipline and focus.As one advances up to higher rank levels one must also work with people of lower rank thus re-enforcing what you have already been taught. There are many advantages to doing Tae Kwon Do that help out in life. The first being good fitness,better focus, learning to relax,self discipline and above all to protect your self. |
